a close up of the ice -
I took this on my trip to Juneau, Alaska. The river had carved a cave into the glacier so you could crawl in and see it from the inside.

the ice was firm enought so i didn't need snowshoes...there wasn't a trail so I had to be pretty careful, me shoes did end up pretty wet by the end of the day...

So, im in Anchorage Alaska now and will be here for 2 months... its really too bad that as soon as spring started in Tokyo I left to deal with minus degree weather again... Saw a moose today, right out my bedroom window!

yeah, of course! i know the shins. they are a great band from sub pop records. very famous for nirvana. coming out is on 24 january right?

I took this at the Monterey Bay Aquarium last month. Its a great place to visit if you in the San Francisco area.
