Prologue
Grew up a little bit in England but for the greater part in The Netherlands. have been to many countries in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe (thats really something else)
I love different languages and cultures. I never look at the differences, im always spotting out the simmeralities. We are all closer connected than we think! In The Netherlands i was working in Media.
Have been to china on a 3 times one month holiday.

What is Club Obiwan?
To all you movie freaks out there, the derivation of Club Obiwan’s name won’t come as a surprise to you… Spielberg’s creation of a Triad-owned Club called Obi Wan is only one of the sly hints as George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are constantly referring to each other’s movies in their own.
The fictional club set in Shanghai’s 1930’s is a sparkling but dangerous place to have a drink and spending your night there might even make some serious help from a Chinese kid with bricks under its feet necessary to get you home safely.
By contrast the non-fictional Club Obiwan now opened in Beijing’s 21st century is not Triad-owned therefore making it a much safer place for you to hang out and have a fun night…though we can’t really guarantee for the safety of your ride home as it totally depends on Beijing’s taxi drivers’ skills… But at least you won’t have to face the risk of a shooting with some gloomy Chinese mafia guys as Indy…
Club Obiwan is located in an old industrial building of the 60’s and offers a lakeside spot in the Northeast off the Houhai track. Being the only three-storeyed house in the immediate Hutong neighbourhood it provides an unrivalled view over the waters of Xihai lakeside and surroundings. Every of the three levels has its own style and design, offering you a relaxed getaway and hang-out-spot from Beijing’s hustle and bustle in the afternoons and a stylish yet laid back party option in the city’s diverse nightlife scene. -
