this is a cool Canadian documentary that you can watch for free online. I am bored, have nothing better to do, and know that most people on asoboo probably know this stuff (because you have access to more "objective" news sources than most americans). But, I'm still going to post videos for all the "free" clips here so ppl can watch it if they want. The clips are located just below this post.
I wish they would require a lot of my fellow citizens to watch this... especially clip #17 about rBST ("bovine growth hormone"), the stuff about marketing to kids (which "super size me" touches on), the privatization of water utilities in Bolivia and the populist uprisings against such madness... and the stuff about cloning/the human genome/owning genes and being able to patent life.
For years, my family has thought I'm crazy because I refuse to drink milk. After I finally got my grandmother to watch clip #17, she finally understood that I'm not a *total* nutcase... yet.
Then again, when businesses start selling "eye color" and "skin tone" options for your test-tube grown, genetically "enhanced" children... just like they offer optional trims on cars and trucks... well, then it's time to call the crazy house b/c I won't be able to take it anymore.... ;^_^
