Description
Due to the abandonment of the group purely known as "Osaka" by its creator I have started this Official Asoboo Osaka Group for members still active on asoboo and living in or interested in Osaka.
Please feel free to post your events and/or places you enjoy around town. Also, feel free to post pictures or stories concerning your adventures in this weird and wild part of Japan!
Location
Osaka, Japan

this is a sign from tennoji zoo in doboutsuen mae. To be honest the zoo is pathetic and actually a little depressing due to the condition it is in and the facilities they have for the animals. But if you are bored with nothing to do (which is very possible in tennoji) I would suggest it. If for no other reason then to appreciate the humor of this instructional monkey emotion sign.

This is a pic of me at osaka aquarium in Osakako. I am from florida where there are alot of aquariums so I have been to quite a few before, but this one has to be one of the best. It was extremely well designed and a delight to visit. The whole structure has been built so that you start at the top of the building and then slowly descend deeper and deeper into the bottom floors of the structure. The floor is built in a spiral that acts like a spiral staircase slowly rotating you around the aquatic enclosures which allow great visuals of tons of live species of all types. My favorite exihibit was the giant crabs. They are absolutely massive! You can watch a huge tank of them as they act out slow motion battles and mating rituals.

The hardest thing for me is taking night shots here in osaka. I want to snap clear and crisp pics but there are so many lights at night that they sometimes turn into flurries and streaks.

Here is what alot of gaijin simply call the Silver Ball. Its in the middle of Ocat station. This is pretty much the first thing I ever saw in japan after taking my first steps off the plane and a 1 hour bus ride. Every night kids are out here break dancing and doing para para. Some the dancing is really amazing some of it is......ummm not so amazing, but all of it is entertaining in one way or another and makes for a very unique part of osaka.

If not its definately worth a quick stop while in umeda especially at night when the top of building lights up with black lights.
