  とにかくあの歌唱力には背筋がゾクゾクしました。
  とてもシリアスなストーリなのですがジョークありのミュージカルで笑えるシーンも多かったです。
  英語はちょっと。。。と思う方は小説を読んだり映画を観てから観劇することをお勧めします。
  英語に自信のある人是非ニューヨークに行ったら観てください。
  ジョークが楽しいミュージカルです。

  I think the greatest musical in cinema history is without a doubt "Westside Story (1961)". Incredible acting, music, dancing, choreography, directing and settings. Most of Westside story was filmed in 1960 on West 61st street in Manhattan. At that time that was a slum area and the City of NY was going to destroy the whole area and build was is today Lincoln Center. they waited and did not destroy the buildings right away so the movie could be filmed there. I was in the Supermarket the other day at the deli counter and started talking to this older, rather attractive woman standing next to me. I said to her did anyone ever tell you that you looked like Rita Moreno ? She smiled and answered I am Rita Moreno. I replied, that would explain the striking resemblance. Rita Moreno is a famous actress and dancer. She played the part of Anita in West Side Story.

  I agree that the cinema's loss is the personal connection with listening to the singer live but I think that the technical aspects of cinema more than make up for this loss. A perfect performance is something I crave in a theater but at the cinema it is always delivered.

  about cinema-vs-musical, i can understand musical cinemas are great. but also i love to enjoy live musical in theaters with all my sense.. when you are lucky enough to meet a great actor, you really can feel the music and emotion through the air. beautiful voices sometimes takes me somewhere out of the theater..
  ミュージカル映画も好きです。でも劇場でほんもののミュージカルを見るのも好きです。良い声を聞いたときは、本当に世界が広がったような気分になります。

  CATSシアターは東京の五反田にあります。：）
  一回目なら２階の真ん中が良いと私は思っています。
  私はとてもファンなので，見に行くとき、なんでか楽しみすぎておなかが痛くなったりするのです。。
  Among SHIKI musicals my best favorite is CATS,,, the theater is in Gotanda, tokyo. I am such a huge fan of this musucal so it sometimes gives me stomachache on the way to the theater for i get too happy.. i really cant go without it.

  『オペラ座の怪人』
  
  これは３本目だったかな。広ーいオペラ座をどのように表現するのだろう？と興味津々で観に行きましたよ(^-^)
  怪人があちこちから出現したり、シャンデリアが落ちてきたり…ラウルが水中に飛込むシーンは「えっ!?」と素で驚きました(笑)
  『キャッツ』は必ず観に行きたい！大阪に専用劇場があるんでしたっけ…？座席はどの辺が良いんだろうって毎回悩むのも楽しいですよね♪

  「異国の丘」見てみたくなりました。
  四季の私のbestはCATSです。Mr. Mistoffeleesが大好きです。いつも、それが終わると悲しくなります。
  オペラ座は、もうすぐ終わってしまうのかも？？これはphantomの人の声がぞぞぞってなるくらい素敵なので，オススメです。　：）

  二度目に観たのが『異国の丘』。
  日本と中国の架け橋になろうとした主人公達の愛と、シベリアの白い森で死んでいった日本兵達の祖国を想う気持ちや悔しさに心が揺さぶられました…
  
  開幕直後、爪先から頭のてっぺんまで鳥肌たった戦争をテーマにした作品は初めてでビックリ！
  
  機会があったら観てみてね〜(^-^)♪♪♪
