Description
Today is monday and on Travel Channel my favorite program will be on "Bizarre Food"with Andrew Zimmern, who travels to various countries to try all the weird stuff.
Having a mom with a french background I have no problems eating things like tripes (intestines), pig brain, blood sausage or frog leg and I tried fried crickets or turtle eggs in other countries, but Mr Zimmern goes just one step further (or many steps further..) in various countries like Vietnam, Phillipinnes, Morocco, Spain or Alaska!. I think it would be fun if for this international community to share the bizarre. And remember, one man’s poison is another’s delicacy, or as Andrew Zimmern says Ïf it looks good, eat it!

It's not the food, but the people who make it bizarre!

Oh we have something in Holland, many people love it overhere, but many people from other country think it is discusting! And me, I just love it!
It is raw salted hearing with raw onions. You pick the fish up by the tail and hang it above your mouth and eat it like that untill you only have the tail left!

Not too strange, but the blood of a freshly killed suppon mixed with nihonshu is an... aquired taste! Tried it in Kyoto the other weekend, and think it might be some time before sampled again :)
