  These beer brands are just so completely minor in most parts of Germany / but famous in Northern Germany. Especially Astra (from the city of Hamburg, right in the middle of St. Pauli) has a very specail way of marketing with ironic advertisements which reflect the life in St. Pauli.
  
  Dithmarscher (located in the very north west, with rough sea climate) represents the area where it comes from in it's taste: Straight, strong and very bitter!
  
  By complete coincidence I was talking about these two beer brands with an other Asoboo member yesterday - writing that I am really missing this beer in my area ... and then I found it at some local beverage store! wow.
  What do you think? coincidence or destiny. who knows. xDD.
