  消費社会に生き、物が溢れている今その背景が見えずらくなっていると思いますが、動物保護もまずどの会社が動物実験をしているかを知り、消費者である一人一人がそれを意識して、実験を行っている会社に貢献しないよう商品を選ぶことで全般的にそういった実験がなくなることにつなげたいですね。

  Dr. Bronner's qualifies for the rabbit and stars logo of the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). This logo certifies that our product and all of our ingredients are not tested on animals. The CCIC, a coalition of animal rights organizations, requires independent audit for confirmation. Many people have no idea how extensive animal testing is in the cosmetic industry. These tests are extremely painful, usually resulting in death, and are almost always unnecessary. Almost all ingredients have been tested on animals at some point in the past, and there is extensive safety information available through literature searches. Even if testing should be necessary, there are many tests available to establish product safety that do not involve animals. To continue testing on animals for the sake of human vanity when we already have many safe, established ingredients and formulations is inhumane.

  OK, I don't like to preach (let he who is without sin and all that...), but since the dolphin thing has struck a chord with most of us, and since everyone is loving Al Gore and trying to help the environment, I'm going to preach - just this once...
  
  Stop eating meat.
  
  If you really want to do more to help the planet you live in, the first step is to stop eating meat. I know its hard - especially in Japan - but its doable. Once you've had a few good vego meals you'd be surprised what you can actually eat - without meat... And you don't have to give up beer...

  もう既に動物実験によって得られた薬や化粧品を使って人間の生活は十分な結果を得ていると思います。このグループはアジアで唯一他国の動物愛護グループと提携して活動をおこなっている組織だそうです。主な活動は動物実験廃止で、他にもいろいろなことをやっています。辛いけれども、なにかできることがあるかもしれないので良かったらHP見て下さい。
  
  I think we already have enough result for medicines and beauty stuff from that. This is only organization in Asia being affiliated with world other animal help organization. They have done abolition of animal experiment. It's realy hard to read but important thing is recognition of what's going on.

  I saw a sad article about bears this morning. In the past few years I've often heard this same news: bears can't sleep in the winter and come down to areas where people are living to get food then are killed......
  
  People always seem to destroy nature and take animals land and kill them.
  
  I found an article about a local group in Miyagi that have been making 'bear fields' since 1997. A 'bear field' is farmland reserved for bears. Because of this, the damage that bears cause to people's fields has decreased. The main person of the group said, 「クマを守るということは、森を守ること、森を守るということは、人間の暮らし、地球を守ることにつながる」exactly!
